After replacing several cat condo/scratching posts with dismaying frequency, I ordered this. It is standing up to frequent scratching very well indeed. I added a 10 lb weight so that we can put it on a table leg when we move our RV, and it keeps the table from tipping when we turn. For us, heavy is good!
