I bought this crate to replace the "select series triple door folding dog crate" that my 20 lb. terrier broke (see my review of that crate). We use it at home and on trips when we need to leave our dog confined while we're away. The crate is a good "home away from home" when we take the dog on trips. This crate is definitely a stronger, heavy duty crate. It's only slightly larger than the other, but has 2 latches on each door. The wire gauge is the same, I think, but the horizontal wires are spaced 1.5 inches closer so the openings are smaller and the whole crate is stronger. It's a little heavier than the other crate, but the extra weight is worth the added strength.
Excellent service. Prompt delivery. Very resonable prices. I would definitely recommend petcratesdirect.com.

The 21"W is great because we can fit two side by side in our small SUV. A good size for field spaniels. The crate is well made, with heavier gauge wire than some cheaper crates. The 3-door design gives us the flexibility to arrange them differently in the car and still have easy door access.
Like all wire crates it rattles a bit in the car. This is largely due to the door latches, which I solved by covering the bar of each with heat shrink tubing made for electrical connections. They make very little noise now.

It is also higher than most crates giving the dog more head space. It has solid construction which we love.
