I have 2 side-by-side crates in the back of my Toyota Sequoia. They fit with room to store another wire crate and my canvas crate right beside them. My two Goldens seem comfortable. I just keep the crates in the back permanently. The dogs are comfortable and secure on short and long trips. The only down-side to the crates is that the wire that attaches the floor to the crate snaps off easily. I use a plastic fastener to keep the "pan" from sliding out from under the dogs and it works just fine.

Perfect size. Fits in back of Suburban next to the 24 x 36 kennelaire. Heavier and sturdier than the kennelaire at less cost. Like double latches.
