Comments about Zinger Aluminum Dog Crate Escape Artist Series:
We were impressed by the quality of this crate. As a dog rescue group, we often work with dogs who have behavioral problems. Such was the case with two foster dogs -- both escape artists. One suffered from separation anxiety and managed to mangle 3 heavy-duty wire crates. The other dog destroyed a $300 supposedly heavy-duty crate by peeling off the wires and avoiding the reinforced metal door. In both cases, the dogs were harming themselves. This crate is completely smooth inside, which avoided the injury problems associated with trying to escape. It is well-constructed, though the separation anxiety dog did manage to destroy the reinforcing frame on the inside of the front door. The manufacturing company (Zinger), however, sent a replacement frame of superior construction, and Max is now contained, no matter how crazy he acts for the 20 minutes after we leave home. We come back, and he's resting calmly and peacefully. The wire-crates (even expensive ones) resulted in injury. This crate's smooth design prevents that. AND -- it's so lightweight! Bottom line: We'd spend $800 for veterinary care if it were a medical problem. Max (and Jersey) will go with their Zinger crates when adopted. They'd have been euthanized by a traditional shelter as unadoptable. These crates saved their lives, literally. Both are great dogs, but need to be crated (securely & safely) when home alone.
Excellent service/delivery. Had to go directly to manufacturer, though, to get a new reinforced frame for front door after one determined foster dog with separation anxiety managed to compromise even this crate.
